We've developed a series of resources to assist you in conducting a Sustainability Plan in your classroom. Our project workbook consists of a project outline, a tentative calendar for you to use, sample assessment strategies and rubrics that you can use. We strongly encourage you to get in touch with us prior to beginning any project as we can provide you with additional equipment, and technical resources.

We have developed two sample project outlines and calendars for delivering this project within either the Environmental Science course, or the new Advanced Technology 120 course. With that in mind, these two calendars cover either a 6 week or a semester long period, although either can easily be adapted to fit the time that you have available.

We have also prepared sample table of contents for reports that we expect could be delivered throughout the project as indicated in the above project outlines and calendars.

Developing a strong team early in the project is essential for success, and we strongly encourage early team building as opposed to dealing later with the issues that may arrive. While there are a great number of team building resources available, we have made few available here in either PDF or Word format.

We have also developed series of rubrics to be used in evaluating your students from a variety of standpoints, including written reports, presentations, self and peer evaluations.

Finally, with any project that changes the style of learning considerably - a letter home to the parents explaining the process and the reason is always a good idea. We've got a draft one for you to use as a starting point below.
