GRAPH

The graph allows you to plot one or two different measurements against time. You will be able to see how the value changes as time progresses, all updated in real time.

You can choose which measurements you want to plot, by using the selector boxes labelled Left Axis and Right Axis. If you would only like to plot one measurement, make sure both of these boxes are the same.

Since you have the ability to plot two different measurements, we are using two different axes. The axes are the vertical bars on either side of the graph that show you the scale.

You can choose how much time you want your graph to cover by moving the slider at the bottom of the graph to the left or right. It starts out at 100 seconds, but can be moved anywhere between 10 seconds and 10,000 seconds. You’ll be able to see changes better and more quickly with a shorter timeframe, but you won’t be able to see how it compares with values over the longer term, so you may need to move back and forth.

You can also change the vertical scales using the sliders to the left and right of the graph. These allow you to lower the maximum value to help you see low values on the graph more clearly. For example, the default maximum value for Power into Batteries is 200. However, if the solar panel is currently only producing 10 Watts, and you want to see when it changes to 11 Watts, this may be difficult to see. You can move the slider down, until the maximum value is 20, and it will become a lot clearer. Of course, if the Power into Batteries value then jumps to 50 Watts, you’ll have to change the scale again or you won’t be able to see it.
