BRIAN MCCAIN

Brian McCain graduated from Queen’s University in 2006 with a B.Sc in Engineering Physics and a B.A in Music. He has spent his time since then working actively in the engineering industry on carbon capture and storage in the power generation industry, both in Canada and abroad. Most recently, he has been acting as the lead technical adviser to the UK government on the implementation of this technology in that country. It was his involvement in this field that has been responsible for his increasing interest in the broader subject of climate change, and ultimately led to him founding The Gaia Project as a way to get increase public understanding of the urgent issues. He’s a keen believer in the power of the bicycle, and has covered over 10,000km in the past year on his primary mode of transport.
